製品概要VIENNA INSTRUMENTSのソロ・ストリングス音源は、長年の国際的なコンサートワークで培われた貴重な経験をもつ Christian Eisenberger、Katharina Traunfellner、Ruben Dubrovski、Martin Deuring の4人のソリストが命を吹き込んだ傑作です。その演奏は感性豊かでクリアー、正確かつ均一で技術的にも完璧であり、また彼らの優れた音楽的な才能を余すところなく受け継いでいます。

これら4人のソリスト達は楽器を自由自在に操るというだけでなく、ビエナ・シンフォニック・ライブラリの開発に数年間携わったことによって、理想のサンプルを作るためにはどうしたらよいのかということを完全に理解しています。その結果、サイレント・ステージで演奏された彼らの一流パフォーマンスは、 VIENNA INSTRUMENT を介して見事に再現可能になっています。

『VIENNA INSTRUMENTS SOLO STRINGS』には、『VSL HORIZON SOLO STRINGS』の全収録内容に加え、数多くの新規アーティキュレーションが追加収録されています。例えば「Zigane（ジプシー風)」は、ゆったりとした"ほろ酔い加減"のポルタメントで、新しいオーディオエンジンのアルゴリズムにおいて"インターバル・パフォーマンス"として非常に豊かな表現力を発揮します。また、レガート、マルカート、スピッカートに対しては、"高速インターバル・パフォーマンス"という新規アーティキュレーション・グループを追加しています。更に「Harsh（荒々しい）」という名の非常に粗暴ともいえるアタックを持つアーティキュレーションが、絶妙な効果を生み出す"インターバル・パフォーマンス／リピティション・パフォーマンス"として加わっています。他にも、特殊なパフォーマンス・トリル、スピッカートとリコシェのリピティション、徐々にフェードアウトするビブラートのサステイン、ポンティチェッロ（駒の近くで運弓する奏法）、スル・タスト（指盤の上で運弓する奏法）、そして数え切れないほどのナチュラル・ハーモニクス（開放弦）とアーティフィシャル・ハーモニクスが追加収録されました。
