製品概要『VIENNA INSTRUMENTS SAXOPHONES』は、ホライズン・シリーズのサキソフォン1（＝『VSL HORIZON SAXOPHONES 1』）の続編にあたり、またVSLサキソフォンの完全版となります。

オーケストラ・サキソフォンの代表格としては、アレクサンダー・グラズノフの「サキソフォン四重奏曲」、グラズノフ＆ドビュッシーの「アルトサキソフォン協奏曲」、ムソルグスキーの「展覧会の絵～第2曲"古城"」などが挙げられますが、本製品では、オーケストラにおけるサキソフォンの奏法はもとより、ジャズ／ビッグバンドに必要なベンド、タン・スラップ、グロウル、スクリーム、フラジオ、キー・サウンドなどに至るまで、すべての奏法を網羅しています。更には、リリースサンプルとして、長・短それぞれの下降エンディング・フレーズも用意。VIENNA INSTRUMENTS特有のパフォーマンス・アルゴリズムが息遣いの荒い躍動的なサウンドからムーディでソフトなサウンドまで、リアルなサックスの音色を実現します。
